Haven't dived PG for nearly 7 months and it was great to return with three buddies for a week. Traffic was light and the sea was calm on 11th July without realizing that a typhoon was approaching fast from the south-east. This typhoon was proved to be quite deadly but LUCKILY did not really affect PG except on the morning of 14th.
We did 4 non-guided recreational dives, 5 non-guided deco dives and one guided deco-dive altogether over 6 days. Very economical to say the least. Current was pretty strong and unpredictable on 13th, 14th and 15th BUT we managed to negotiate it without too much anxiety.
Dive sites visisted or attempted:
Monkey Beach, Kelimar Drift, Fish Bowl(twice), Deep Almar Jane Reef, Deep Monkey Beach, Verde Island(twice), Marcus Cave and Black Fish Pinnacle.
Returning for another week in August.
